Whitstable Reflexology Treatments

What happens in a session & what it could do for you.

Jenni creates an extremely calm and welcoming space for her treatments, where you immediately feel safe to relax in her capable hands. ” — Sally, Air & Earth Reflexology Client.

EVERY TREATMENT AT AIR + EARTH IS TAILORED TO YOU - YOUR SYMPTOMS, YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM, YOUR LIFE.

HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK.

How does Reflexology work?

Reflexology works by stimulating nerve endings (mainly on the feet but also the lower leg and hands), that relate to the systems of the body.

I use a variety of touch, massage and energy techniques, to work on connected areas or ‘reflexes’, helping the body back into balance and giving it the best chance of healing itself.

It is effective in calming both the body and the mind. Most clients notice an immediate sense of well-being during the session, and a cumulative effect over time.

Who is Reflexology for?

Reflexology can suit anyone - from people wanting a short self-care session to those who want to explore longer-term health benefits. It can be particularly good for people experiencing:

  • Stress or Anxiety

  • Tension or muscle pain

  • Insomnia / disturbed sleep

What does a session feel like?

Treatments take place in a serene, airy studio in central Whitstable. You will recline on a massage couch, and the treatment will focus on the feet and lower leg (it’s helpful to wear loose-fitting trousers or leggings that can be rolled up). Some clients drift quickly into a deeply restful state, others find it a helpful space to talk - both are really powerful, and I will always follow your lead. After the session, I will follow up with suggestions of any practices I feel may be helpful to you.

How many sessions will I need?

This will vary from person to person, and depends on your symptoms and goals. Some clients experience a shift after a couple of sessions. For longer-standing issues, regular treatments can have a cumulative effect and deliver more lasting results. I will always be honest about what I feel will help you most, and ultimately be guided by you.

Reflexology Treatment Types

  • Duopody - Best For 1st appointments and full body rebalancing.

Duopody treats both feet at the same time, using detailed reflexology charts covering all 12 systems of the body. I usually utilise full duopody in initial sessions to map imbalances and establish where to focus. The result is a thorough, deeply relaxing treatment — and you get the full session time on both feet.

  • Specialist Stress Relief (NEPIP) - Best for stress, anxiety, and nervous system support.

NEPIP (or Neuro Endo PsychoImmuno Pody) is an advanced reflexology treatment exclusively performed by Level 5 Practitioners. This wonderfully relaxing treatment works on balancing the central nervous, endocrine & immune systems to calm and soothe. It’s particularly helpful for people feeling ‘tired but wired’ and overwhelmed.

  • Energy Balancing Treatments - Best for low or heightened energy and emotional fatigue.

As an intuitive therapist I use energy balancing in most treatments, but it can make up whole sessions. Using linking holds on relevant areas of the feet or working on the chakras, I sense and balance energy flows to calm or energise as needed.

  • Hand Reflexology - Best for foot injuries, sensitivities or personal preference.

If, for some reason, I can’t treat your feet (due to injury or preference) hand reflexology is a wonderful alternative,
By stimulating nerve endings across the hands, fingers and wrists, it delivers the same rebalancing and relaxation benefits.

My approach…

I believe that reflexology can genuinely benefit anyone. And my treatment room is open to all!

It is by nature a holistic therapy and I very much treat the person as a whole. Each treatment plan is created to suit you, initially by talking about your symptoms and needs, and later from what I can feel on the feet and feedback from you, the client.

Some people like to come and immediately zone out, and some like to use the session to explore their problems. Both ways are really powerful and I am always guided by the person whom I’m treating.

I will make suggestions that you can explore in between sessions to bring further relief ( breath work or meditation for stress for instance, or gentle yoga or pilates for tension and back pain).

Overall I will be open, honest, and supportive in finding the best treatment for you, whether this continues to be reflexology or an alternative therapy.

What I promise

  • To take a thorough medical history and listen carefully to anything you wish to tell me, before starting our first treatment.

  • To check in with you in regards to pressure and preferences, and to make sure you are always comfortable.

  • That we will work together, to enable you enter a state of deep relaxation that is both enjoyable and rejuvenating.

What I will never claim…

  • To diagnose conditions or cure symptoms. I have experienced and witnessed countless improvements in symptoms through having reflexology (including better mood, sleep and digestion plus lower pain levels) but no complementary therapist should ever claim their treatments can cure or remove symptoms.

  • That reflexology is for you! Most people who seek a reflexology treatment instinctively feel it will be enjoyable and this plays out, but very occasionally the therapy may just not connect. I will always suggest alternatives should this ever be the case.
